To Like A♥Man - C36 Suddenly
His mind was in a semi-daze, as he followed Adrian’s lead into the lavish first class hotel foyer of smooth polished white marble floors. Glimmering silver trimmed and modern gray walls that created an ambiance of cleanliness and a brightness that lifted a person’s spirits no matter what status or walk of life they came from, before they passed through the rotating glass door entrance.
“I have a reservation under Masters.” Adrian coolly advised the formal looking concierge man, in a gray and white suit, behind the reception desk.
“Oh, yes, a penthouse suite on floor 45.” The Concierge noted without looking away from the screen he was viewing. His fingers kept intensely typing on his keyboard. “One moment please.”
He shuffled off the stool he had been seated on, and stood to retrieve something from the shelf of pigeonhole boxes behind him.
Bradley closed his eyes to savor the delicious aroma of vanilla and lemon wafting about his nose.
“Adrian Masters.”
A smooth and posh voice drew his attention to a beautiful woman approaching them from the hotel’s entrance.
His eyes perceived a stylish woman in a brand name red couture single button jacket, which outlined the small curves of her waist down towards the slinky mini skirt that supplemented her slender legs in killer black stilettos.
Her hands and neck was sparkling with elegant gold jewelry, to reflect the sheen of her dark hair that was held up in a simplistic, but stylish bun.
A delicate sweep of fringe ran across her dainty forehead to frame her shapely brows, big blue eyes and perfectly stained red lips.
She was beyond beautiful. A richly dressed model. Bradley gulped nervously when he caught an intense glare from her eyes, drawing focus to her dimple cheeks.
“Erika.” Adrian sounded surprise to see her.
She stopped before him. A heavy silence permeated the space between them before she spoke again.
“How long has it been?” Her question was void of pleasantries.
Bradley frowned, wondering on what this Erika was to Adrian. Was she another one of Adrian’s employees or former associates? His frown deepened when he recalled the name Adrian had just spoken.
“You’re Erika?” He blurted and gulped at the fiercer glare from her as a response.
“I see. I’m still a topic of discussion with your employees.” She scoffed, flicking aside a strand of her hair from her face with haughty airs.
“Well, I was your top ranking model at one time. T-Strike wouldn’t be as famous if you didn’t have me.”
Bradley sighed with relief when the moment was interrupted by a polite call-out from the concierge worker.
“Ms Moniker, your suite is ready for entering now.”
The mention of her name had stirred up an instant flurry of people vying for her attention with phone and compact cameras in their hands.
“Masters and Moniker reunion! Say cheese.” One guy crudely shouted to draw their attention to him.
“Damn.” Adrian cursed under his breath.
He grabbed Bradley’s arm and started pushing his way past a frenzy of trigger-happy people with phones raised to grab a snapshot.
“Are you two back together again?” A voice cried out with keen interest for an answer.
Adrian didn’t stop, as he dragged Bradley towards the opening lifts before them.
“Don’t leave my side.” He discreetly whispered to him as he let go of his hand.
He boldly strode past flashing cameras that was being held back by security guards, which had rushed to the scene.
Bradley hurried by Adrian’s side, his eyes darting about the lobby. It was suddenly overcrowded with onlookers and paparazzi rushing to get the scoop of what was perceived as a Masters and Monika reunion.
His back received a whack, as he was hastily pushed into the lift with Erika, Adrian and a few of the beefcake security guards.
“We’ll escort you to your rooms.” A guard gruffly reassured them.
The heavy silence fell upon them again. Even the security guards felt an awkwardness as they glanced at each other with pensive stares and a few shuffles away from Adrian and Erika.
A deep sigh could be felt when the doors opened, and Erika stepped out first to alight on her floor, with a guard following behind her.
She stopped and turned to give her last word.
“I’ll be in contact. I guarantee it.”
The lift doors closed on her withdrawing figure.
Silence come upon the lift again, but it was different this time. Pensive.
Some people came and went, unsuspecting of the dilemma of the Lift’s current occupants.
Eventually they reached the floor of their penthouse suite.
“Mr. Masters.” The security guard acknowledged him, as he led the way to their room door at the end of the floor.
Fortunately, the pristine white hallway was clear and void of other people.
Adrian thanked the man and swiped his key-card on the door’s electronic lock.
Bradley glanced back to the way behind him, watching the security guard receding back down the hallway and disappearing into a lift.
The pristine white marble hallway with landscapes in gold frames reminded him that he was standing in a foreign place.
“I shouldn’t be here, should I?” He spoke honestly.
Adrian answered by grabbing his wrist and leading him inside the room.
He closed the door behind him.
Bradley gulped, feeling nervous and excited. It was real. Being with Adrian. It felt like a dream before. Now.
“If you shouldn’t be here, Bradley, then neither should I.” Adrian sighed. “What am I doing?”
He headed to the small glass dining setting, at one end of the room, and sat down. His head felt heavy; filled with worries.
Bradley heaved a weary sigh. He took the seat next to Adrian.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful. It’s just, this is kind of sudden, don’t you think?”
Adrian stared at him with an honest expression. “Do you like me, Bradley? Because, we didn’t meet in ideal circumstances.”
“Yeah. You did threaten me with extortion. I thought you were the mafia.” Bradley lightly answered. “Who would’ve thought you were the CEO of T-Strike.”
Adrian studied the way delicate beams of sunlight touched Bradley’s smooth features, and made his round eyes glisten like a jewel. He looked fragile, soft and untouchable.
Yet was the man truly untouchable or fragile?
“Adrian?” Bradley said his name with a perplexed expression, which made his beauty more enduring.
“You’re beautiful.” Adrian raised a hand to tenderly stroke his cheek, stirring a blush.
Bradley’s mind went into an awkward panic as he remembered the kiss and his bold statement of stepping out of the car.
His heart raced fiercely with feelings of wanting more of Adrian’s touches. He closed his eyes, waiting for another kiss. His lips were cold.
“Huh?” He opened his eyes and saw Adrian making his way to the bathroom.
“I’m going to take a shower and then a nap. Feel free to use whatever is here or call room service. We have some time before we can pick up your passport and make our way to New Zealand.”
“New Zealand!” Bradley blurted.
Adrian nodded and entered the bathroom.
Bradley pulled out his phone and called Jace.
“Jace!” He called out his brother’s name, feeling relieved.
“Lemme guess, you’re going on a two-day business trip with your new boss. That Angela woman called to tell me,” Jace said, not betting around the bush.
He didn’t sound thrilled by the idea, from the tone of his voice.
“I can take care of myself, but who’s gonna be around to take care of you.”
“It’s work, Jace,” Bradley said defensively.
“Work. Right. Listen, Bro. When this carnivore wants to eat his herbivore, you make sure you’re somewhere else.” Jace gave his askew piece of advice that went over Bradley’s head.
“What?”
“Sheeze. Can’t believe how dense you are. That Master’s guy is gonna eat you alive. Is that what you want?”
Bradley paused. The thought of Adrian’s lips moving around his body made him blush and groin twitch.
“Oh! I see. Well, okay, but I guess you better tell Adam.” Jace’s tone of voice didn’t hide his surprise.
“Tell Adam what?”
Jace let out a frustrated sigh. “Figure that out for yourself! I’m gonna be fine. You just work.”
He abruptly ended the call.
Bradley was about to redial his brother’s number, but stopped when Adrian entered the room, smelling fresh and sweet.
A white bathrobe was wrapped around his body. His hair was slightly messy from being towel dried. It flopped over his brows, making him appear younger and more manly.
“Your turn, if you want.” Adrian offered the way to the bathroom.
Bradley gulped down his desire and nodded. He timidly made his way to the lavish gold and white-gray marble bathroom. His heart racing frantically.
No. There was no denying or going back. He liked Adrian. It was now a matter of how much of that like was going to make him take their affair to the next level.
Despite their terrible meeting, Adrian had given him an honorable job. He hadn’t given him any other reason to doubt his intentions.
“No. He’s a good man. Weird, but good,” he said to himself in the large, wall-sized, mirror.
His eyes drooped with desire, and his body twitched with a feeling of wanting to hold him.
No more doubts. His life would be forever changed of this moment. Adrian Masters had offered himself to him. He’ll make sure to accept his offer with interest. Adrian Masters was his.
A smile, filled with certainty, was stretched across his mouth as he stripped naked and entered the shower.
